Meet our Pastors
Pastor Randy has been an ordained minister since 1997. He and his wife were Missionaries to Chad, Africa from ‘97 to ‘03. Overseas, he was involved in Bible school teaching and church planting. From 2003 to SEP 2017, he was the Associate Pastor at AVAG in Ironton, MO. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Rolla with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, has a Master of Divinity from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri, and a Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. Along with his pastoral duties at Patterson Assembly of God Church he is also currently employed as an electrical engineer at M&A Electric Power Cooperative in Poplar Bluff, MO. He is also a chaplain in the Army Reserve with the rank of major. His wife Missy is a registered nurse and has used her skills on the mission field as well as here at home in the U.S. She currently serves as the Director for Recycling Grace Women’s Center (an addiction ministry) in Poplar Bluff, MO. They have three children: Elizabeth (26), Samantha (22), and William (17) and one grandson, Zach.

Jeff & Bonnie Crandell Associate/Children's Pastor
Reverend Jeff Crandell has been ordained with the Assemblies of God (AG) since April of 2012, but has been a licensed AG minister since 1985 when he felt God’s call on his life to minister to children and youth of all ages. Jeff received a Bachelor of Theology degree from International Seminary in 2012 and also graduated from Kidmin Academy Children's Ministry College in 2014. He was children’s pastor at Southside Assembly of God in Poplar Bluff, MO for seven years and saw many children and youth saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. He also served as both children’s and youth pastor at Fisk Assembly of God. Afterward, he was the youth pastor at Dyer First Assembly of God (Tennessee). He served in a short-term missions ministry for the Book of Hope/Life under the leadership of Greg Crandell from 1994-1996 where he was in charge of follow-up. Next, he worked for KOKS Christian Radio for two years before serving as youth pastor at Grace Assembly of God in Florissant, MO. He was privileged to have the opportunity to go on short-term mission trips to Bulgaria and Romania where he ministered to kids and orphans. He met his wife Bonnie early 2000’s and they have been ministering to children together since that time. Together, the served as pastors at the Assembly of God church in Chaffee, MO before serving as children’s pastors in Des Arc, MO. Jeff says that, “we just want to be servants and serve the Lord in any capacity that the Lord desires.”
